You can expect individualised, first rate guidance for the next steps after College. Information and advice are provided on careers, employment and progression to higher education. Our seminar programme includes a range of speakers and workshops to ensure that all students are fully prepared academically, financially and personally for their future. The majority of our students progress on to higher and further education and the College has an excellent track record in ensuring that students get their first choice of university. Help regarding all aspects of the university application process is provided and there are specialist programmes and activities for those likely to be applying to Oxford or Cambridge or Russell Group Universities. We ensure that students choosing an apprenticeship or direct employment career path are equipped with the necessary employability skills and qualifications to take the next steps.

There are opportunities to develop leadership skills through activities such as peer mentoring, organising whole school activities and membership of the Senior Prefect Team. We value student views and Sixth Form leaders play an important role in working with students, staff and governors to develop and enhance all aspects of College life. Trips to local, national and international locations include Los Angeles, New York, Vietnam, China and Iceland. Popular enrichment activities include musical productions, the Sixth Form Revue, Young Enterprise, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, sporting competitions and charity work.
